In the Abstract Impressionism series, I evoke subjective and sensory impressions in my sculpture, and then layer in abstract approaches to the human body in order to push the boundaries of physical form and challenge realism.  These sculptures are a mix of dyed concrete modeled on a steel armature, then hand polished.  The posts are crafted of twisted steel rods and pigmented with patinas.  The pedestals are either concrete, welded metal colored with patinas or aluminum.
