Originally part of the 2019 West Seattle Food Bank auction, the Offering series is inspired by all those who give their time and resources to make the world a better place.  The sold sculptures raised money for the food bank and also invited me to explore the meaning of generosity and kindness more deeply.  As the Buddha said:  "if you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path."  These sculptures are a mix of dyed concrete modeled on a steel armature, then hand polished.  The posts are crafted of twisted steel rods and pigmented with patinas.  The bases are either concrete or welded metal colored with patinas.
